Originally linked to a 2006 PE, this updated Protro version celebrates the 20-year legacy of Kobe’s footwear line while reworking the classic Air Force 1 silhouette through a premium denim construction. The result is a heritage-driven release that blends basketball history with streetwear influence.
Design Breakdown:
The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro “Denim” features a two-tone denim upper with subtle frayed edge detailing, giving the shoe a textured, worn-in aesthetic. Contrast stitching adds depth across the panels, while embroidered Kobe branding appears along the lateral side.
The classic Air Force 1 silhouette remains intact, with the signature Swoosh layered over the denim base. Underfoot, Nike updates the construction with Protro tooling incorporating ReactX cushioning and a responsive heel Air unit for improved comfort over traditional AF1 builds.
The outsole carries a bold colour accent, adding contrast to the otherwise tonal upper.
